Aerocity is the working name for a planned integrated township of about 75 acres by Brigade Group in KIADB’s Devanahalli Industrial Area, close to Kempegowda International Airport. As its environmental clearance record is reported, the township is planned as a complete neighbourhood: about 7,195 homes in high-rise towers of up to ground plus 30 floors, a hospital of about 300 beds and a hotel of about 500 keys, with about a third of the land kept as open area and a green belt planned with about 3,800 saplings. Brigade, the developer behind Brigade Orchards, a 135-acre township in Devanahalli, and the Brigade Gateway campus in Malleswaram, has been building in Bengaluru since 1986. Aerocity is planned at Haraluru and Muddenahalli villages in KIADB’s Devanahalli Industrial Area, Phase II, close to Kempegowda International Airport. Brigade describes Devanahalli as a commercial corridor shaped by the airport, the Aerospace SEZ, planned business infrastructure and NH-44 connectivity, with the Hi-tech Aerospace and Defence Park spanning about 2,000 acres across its phases.
